ACV - Removes Wax From Dreadlocks

I've had my dreads for about 4 years now and when I made them I was told to use wax to hold them together.. granted it will hold your dreads together.
But having wax in your dreads causes bits of fluff & dirt to get locked/develops mold in the middle of dreads: It's pretty gross I know..
I had been using various "branded" dreadlock shampoo's to try and remove the wax/mold but it just wouldn't budge.. Soaked them in apple cider vinegar and it broke down most of the wax first time, I do this quite often now and my dreads feel so much cleaner :)
I hate the stereotype that dreads are dirty :(
