I went to my doctor (who practices integrative medicine and studied
under Dr. Andrew Weill for awhile) about the persistent lump in my
throat; it felt like there was something stuck back there.
She sent me to an ENT guy who scoped my throat and found nothing, but
said it's probably acid reflux. He wanted to give me PPI's,
but his handout also noted the foods I shouldn't be eating (alcohol,
caffeine, chocolate, etc.). I don't smoke, but smoking was
also listed as an offender.
I dutifully stopped those things but the lump didn't go away and I was
also noticing the acid burn in the back of my throat, sleeping poorly,
feeling bloated. I didn't want to take medications with side
effects, so I went back to my regular doctor who gave me a hand-out
from Dr. Weill suggesting all the things the ENT had suggested, plus
some other things like camomile tea and licorice, which was foul
tasting and gave me the runs, but no mention of ACV.
Still looking for a natural cure, I stumbled over this apple cider
vinegar site. Since the changes I'd made to my diet had made only
marginal improvements, I tried it, using one teaspoon (a cap-full) of
regular grocery store ACV and a heaping teaspoon of raw honey in a cup
of warm water. Instant relief!
I now take it three or four times a day, and I enjoy the taste of
it. Not only has my GERD improved, along with the "lump"
sensation, but also an annoying hoarseness that had plagued me for
months has improved.
Thanks to all of you who wrote about your experiences. I will
tell anyone who will listen about this very remarkable remedy.

WoW! I have been suffering from GERD for the past few years, and none
of the over the counter meds worked, nor did my prescription strength
meds.
I called my friend last night complaining of my horrible, horrible
painful heartburn/acid reflux and she had a book of home remedies, she
read me the recipe with ACV, I tried it.... And, it WORKED!!!
I am a believer, although I do have a Dr. appointment tomorrow, I will
continue to use this as a remedy! It really worked!
Try it, you won't regret it!

I have had GERD for many many years. The reflux has been so
bad that it caused an esophageal stricture (closure). Food and liquids
(even spit) would literally get stuck in my esophagus causing
excrutiating pain. Stuck chicken almost sent me to the
emergency room hoping they could pull it out. I had to have a
surgical balloon dilation to reopen my esophagus. At night I would
sometimes breath in the reflux which once caused aspiration pneumonia.
I've probably been on every GERD medicine available with only temporary
or no relief even with taking double doses. Sometimes it
seemed that my stomach acid was being reduced so much that my food
wasn't being digested and I would belch up undigested food particles.
ACV had been suggested to me a few years ago but I reasoned that how
could something acidic help acid reflux.
Recently, desperate to get some relief and hoping to avoid any more
esophagus damage, I tried it during a really bad episode. I
couldn't believe that it worked.
Still skeptical, I stopped all acid medication to test it and I was
dumbfounded that it really does work. Since I can get acid
reflux without even eating anything, I sip about 4 tablespoons
throughout the day mixed in about 32 ounces of water and it's working
very well even when I do eat something. (At that dilution I
hope it's not eroding my tooth enamel)
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ACV TO ANYONE WITH GERD. Don't wait until
it causes esophageal damage or cancer.
FYI, I found on the internet that if food is settling in your stomach
causing a miserable, constantly full feeling, 500mg of an antibiotic
called Azithromycin works very well to empty your stomach (much better
than Reglan with it's scary side effects). However, it is a
potent antibiotic so your doctor may not want to prescribe it for
stomach fullness. I just happened to be on another antibiotic
at the time and my doctor was willing to switch me to it. I
was amazed how well it worked.

I have been suffering for the past two years with tightness in chest,
indigestion, burping and chronic clearing of throat.
Doctor put me on Prolesic a couple of years ago so I would go off and
on, never been truly diagnosed. I felt like this is my life
from now on.
Last week I began with the sensation of a lump in my throat which gave
me anxiety so I decided to research the symptoms on line and found it
to be Gerd or reflux (this site did not give home remedy).
I called my son who is a nutritionist and he told me to take the ACV
before each meal and it works.
Since then I've discovered these blogs which makes me feel I'm not
alone. I've only been doing this for a week and really feel
the benefits.

I've been taking Nexium for about 1 year now and was told about ACV
from a co-worker, who healed from it after his doctor friend told him
about ACV.
I was told to take 2 tsps with a little water in the morning,
night whenever I felt an attack coming.
Stay away from fried spicy foods increase your
veggies fiber. I honestly say that I have been heartburn free
symptom free for 1 week. It's amazing.
About one week ago, I thought I was having a heart attack because the
heartburn was so bad. This stuff is amazing. I heard you will also
loose weight. I sure hope so.
Good luck guys. Let's say bye-bye to acid reflux PPI's.

I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and have suffered severe nausea and an awful taste in my mouth for the past 14 or so weeks.
My OB initially prescribed anti nausea medication (Moxolin and then Stematil) which did nothing to cure my nausea. Last week my OB suggested I might be suffering from acid reflux and I was prescribed Ranitidine.
After two days I felt no nausea and thought I had found my 'cure'. The following two days though I developed severe headaches (which I don't normally get). I then found that a side of effect of the drug is headaches.
I then googled a natural cure for acid reflux and came up with ACV. I cannot tell you how much better I feel!!
I have been taking a few teaspoons diluted in water for the past couple of days and the effect has been immediate and amazing!! I no longer have the nausea, nor the awful taste in my mouth which I have suffered for the past 14 weeks!!!

I have had Very bad Acid Reflux for so many years can't count them. Was on nexium for about four years and read up on it and didn't like what I read about it from the company and had been having headaches all that time and they were getting worse even ended up having migrains about every two weeks then started waking up with a headache.
I got off the nexium the first of November, and have not had a headache since.
It has been 28 days I have been on the acv, I didn't think it was going to work was still having a bit of heartburn.
Was taking 2 tablespoons with honey and a cup of water, found out it doesn't take that much for me.
Started on one tablespoon with a teaspoon of baking soda three times a day and it is working very well now.
Thanks to everyone on here for letting us know about the acv. I haven't felt this good in years THANKS AGAIN TO ALL.
PS: Apples work also. So don't give up, it may take time. I am glad I didn't give up on the acv.

The ACV has been a Godsend for me. I had GERD for a long time a couple years ago and did many things, including ACV, to cure it before it finally eased.
Well, I went back to my old habits (fried food, carbonated drinks and coffee are the worst) and the GERD returned with a vengence. After buying OTC meds for awhile, I remembered the ACV and now I don't use the OTC meds anymore.
A little ACV with water when I wake up, sometimes the same before bedtime and all is well again. I don't know how it works, but it does. Also, I seem to crave sweets less and (excuse me) my stools are softer.
It is great to not throw man-made chemicals down my throat anymore.

A few months ago I had started taking apple cider vinegar for another reason, and I take a few tablespoons in a glass of tomato juice every morning.
I had chronic heartburn and had been using an over the counter remedy. Within several days, I had realized that the vinegar had cured the heartburn and I was amazed! Especially since tomatoes are one of my major triggers!
I have been heartburn free for months and I tell everyone to start using it because for me, it is my hero!
I was considering getting a prescription for the heartburn and now I don't have to!

I can't thank you all enough for your testimonials.
just woke up (at 4 am) and the heartburn pain was so bad I couldn't
stand it. Along with the heartburn I have terrible post nasal drip.
I was very sceptical but desperate.
I found an old bottle of apple cider vinegar and mixed about 4
tablespoons with a glass of water. I felt a tiny bit better
instantly and within 5 minutes most of my pain is gone.
Thank you one and all. I don't know that I would have tried
this without so many comments.
The bloating isn't gone yet, but as I said, it has only been 5 minutes
and I have become a believer.
I will look for the "mother" variety since many have said that works
even better.
Thank you for this website.
UPDATE:
I forgot to mention in my previous post that not only is the heartburn
relieved but even the post nasal drip feels better.
Oh, and this constant heartburn has been going on for 8 months now and
I am 46 (in case that helps anyone).

I had acid reflux so bad that I thought that it would kill me.
One day, I could not sleep well and I was so bloated I couldn't breathe
half the time. I started to do some research and came upon a site
saying Braggs apple cider vinegar would take the acid away.
The same day, I called the health food store and spoke to the lady in
great detail. She assured me that it would really work.
I bought some, tried it and as God is my witness, I feel like a brand
new person. No more embarrassing burping and bloating and pain. I sleep
like a baby now and enjoy the walks I never used to be able to take
without stopping 10 times because of pain.
Thank you, thank you God and Braggs Apple cider vinegar.
I now have a new lease on life.

problems; I was throwing up everyday, my chest hurt, throat burned
& hurt and felt like a golf ball was in there, my voice was so
hoarse (had been for several months)...I was a mess!
I bought Bragg's organic AVC - 2 tsp w/water 3-4 times a day. After 4-5
days, all the terrible symptoms are GONE, my voice is back to normal, I
have energy - I feel like a new person, I am so happy I cried tears of
joy.
I tried everything under the sun and nothing else worked.

I am an MD and I do believe ACV works for some people.
Contrary to what the posts here imply, I have no problem with my
patients taking it, and I don't make any money from the prescriptions I
write - I am not sure where that misconception comes from.
Drug companies have their own business interests; they don't pay us to
write prescriptions, they just spend a lot of money on advertising with
the hope that we will.

I tried ACV for the 1st time a few months ago. I took a couple caps
full (without water) and it upset my stomach so bad I was scared to try
again.
However, I tried it again before I ate spaghetti today- which almost
always upsets my stomach, especially during that time of the month.
This time I put the 2 capfuls (approx. 1 tablespoon)of ACV in 1 cup of
water and IT DIDN'T BOTHER ME! Not only that, but no heartburn or acid
reflux! I've been on Prilosec and other PPI's for over 10 yrs!
I think it's time I stop supplying the drug company!
I hear this helps with insulin resistance. We'll see!

I've been miserable for over two months. My ear, throat and
esophagus were aching. I made an appt. to see an
ENT. I'm sure I'm suffering from LRP.
I have used organic, unfiltered ACV many times. I even use it
for cooking and on my salads. But today I decided to take 1
table spoon with a glass of distilled water to see if it would help and
my goodness, it did!!!!
I also ate and organic apple and it also helped. I cannot
believe it. I will continue to take it.
I do plan to keep my appointment with the ENT, but will not take
anything other than ACV for relief.
Thank you for informing everyone about ACV .

I'm also chronically constipated.
I started ACV a week ago and I'm still constipated and I have gerd
every single day. After I drink the vinegar, water and honey
I burp a lot, but the reflux hasn't gone away. I take 1 tbs
per 8oz water 3 times a day and before going to bed at night.
I don't want to give up, are there any others that didn't get relief
right away but stuck with it and then did? I am really in
pain and hoping if I stick to this it will help.
On an up-note, I'm not constantly hungry anymore and I don't
crave sweets. This is a great perk! :)

I recently went to my doctors office with constant nausea, acid
stomach, and belching for like the past two weeks.
She said it was gastritis or acid reflux and prescribed me Prilosec.
I though I would give the ACV a try and I do feel better today, much
better.
I had success with ACV in the past with a sinus infection that would
not go away with 3 courses of antibiotics. I breathed in steamed water
and ACV mixed a few times a day and the infection went away.

I have read every single comment and I know people are telling the
truth about AVC.
I don't know why it took me so long to get back to the basics, been to
so many doctor's to be treated the same - asked a couple of questions
and they just turn around and write the prescription making my problem
worse.
The lst couple I got filled but after I found out, without their help,
that I had too little acid that was causing my acid reflux I
began to research it.
I had a problem with horrible breath for many years, went in the
kitchen and took some acv with water and Bad Breath is gone.
I spent all day just thanking God for the answer, many, many years I
suffered and had the answer in the kitchen. I could have saved so much
money trying so many products, it was coming from my stomach all the
time.

I used to suffer from GERD.
Well, I have been on every cholesterol drug in the last 25 yrs. I also
take many vitamins and minerals. (My problem is genetic so statins are
necessary)
Anyway, I have had severe acid reflux for some time and nothing worked.
I am not a fan of the doctor who will stick, prod and probe and then
write a script. It got so bad the other night that I could not make it
around the block with the dog. We walk/run every morning and night but
lately I felt like I was having the big one.
I found a site about ACV and I realized I had a bottle of it from a
while ago when I wanted to try a rememdy but never did. Man, I mixed 2
tablespoons in 8 ounces of water and added a small amount of baking
soda and well, today was the best day I have had in many months.
I will do this 2 times a day and then stop for a few days and do it
again. RELIEF!!
(Just a note on ACAI berry...BE CAREFUL my wife decided to try the
latest diet fad with ACAI berry so she bought it and started using it.
I decided to try it also. She became severely ill with GERD and it only
began to subside AFTER the ACAI Berry was stopped. She never had GERD,
but this was off the chart as far as the pains went. ACAI may not be

The doctor said something about looking for gall stones amongst other
things so I assumed I had them. I took the apple cider vinegar remedy
as it is also recommended for gall stones. The pain went away almost
immediately and didn't return for more than a month.
I have since found out it is not gall stones but Gerd so I am going to

I used to suffer from GERD.
I ate a dozn or more antacid pills a day, knowing this wasn't good for
me. But it helped. I tried Prilosec and other similar over-the-counter
medications and they worked, but they were terribly expensive and were
only supposed to be used for 14 days. While I found immediate relief,
there was no sustainability.
Then I tried Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. Ironically, I tried it for
hypertension (which did not work for me), so I was surprised when it
solved my gastro-intestinal problems.
Initially, I used it as recommended, 2-3 times per day mixed with water
and honey. After a year or so, I found I only needed it once or twice a
week on a maintenance basis.
I occasionally take a few antacid tablets, but only because I have been
negligent with ACV.
I can also take ACV when acid indigestion strikes unexpectedly. Again,
this only happens when I have been negligent with my ACV regimen.
I am convinced this will not work for everyone. But it works for me,
and is worth trying by anyone suffering from GERD.

It works for me.
I read this page before I tried it and wanted to wait some months
before posting. It's been 6 mos and more and the results are great!
Acid reflux usually hits me in bed, because I don't have the benefit of
gravity when I'm horizontal. I've taken vinegar when I thought I'd have
trouble at night and I've taken it after having acid reflux. It works
either way, but it's a lot easier to drink vinegar before, because
after acid reflux, my esophagus is already raw from the stomach acid.
The turning point for me was when I took an antacid - baking soda -
after having bad acid reflux one night. Bile came up while I was
sleeping after taking he baking soda. I then began to see a causal
relationship between the antacid and this regurgitation - it was doing
the opposite of what I wanted. It did stop the burning - killed the
acid - but it also relaxed the LES to the point I couldn't keep the
food down - at least, that's what it seems like to me.
I tried distilled white vinegar too, and it works, but it tastes bad. I
think any vinegar or acidic agent will help.
Update:
November 03, 2009
Just a follow up - it's still working. I haven't had trouble since I
started taking vinegar nearly a year ago.
Whenever I feel like I'm going to have trouble, I take a swig just
before brushing my teeth and going to bed.
One night, I was on the fence about whether or not I'd need it. Sure
enough - I woke up in the middle of the night with acid in my throat.
Let me tell you, the last thing you want is more acid on a burning
throat. But I did it anyway. Hurt like hell. Fixed it right up though.
I usually rinse my mouth out after - or brush. Someone mentioned that
it might wreck your teeth. I guess if you drank it a lot it might. Just
in case, I don't let it sit in my mouth.
I haven't had a TUMS for nearly a year.

This is the first home remedy I've tried for acid reflux and it worked
miracles.
I was on Protonic, then Nexium and any other PPI and anti-acid under
the sun.
I take couple of tablespoons organic ACV and honey (you can find it
anywhere..Dominics,Jewel,Trader Joe) in a glass of water every morning
(about 30 min before breakfast). Be careful the first couple of times
until your digestive system adjusts (take smaller dosages, in more
honey and water), and make sure you are consistent and don't skip a day
or two
Off course, I still need to watch my diet, don't eat late at night,
little or no alcohol and the rest of the common sense things.
I remember my dad used to take this every morning years ago, and I
thought he was crazy, yet here I am 10 years later doing the same.
I don't usually post, but I figured it might help someone the way it
helped me.

I've had acid reflux for years, and have always used Pepcid to control
it.
Today I went to get my Pepcid and found the bottle empty... hubby must
have been into it. Out of desperation, I took a swig of regular white
vinegar. I'd heard somewhere it would help and I didn't really think it
would but I was hurting so much that I'd have swallowed a crowbar if
someone said it might work.
My initial reaction was to drool from the vinegar taste in my mouth
(ICK), then I almost threw up.
And THEN, once that OMG GONNA PUKE sensation went away, my stomach
settled down and the acid reflux was gone! It's been a few hours and
still no trouble! Amazing!
I think I'll probably stick with Pepcid, but if I ever get in a bind,
I'll know to take a little swig of vinegar. :)

Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar unfiltered is the best thing for GERD.
For weeks, it felt like I had a golf ball stuck in my throat and
tightness in my throat.
I was told by an ENT it was GERD. He gave me prilosec.
Don't want to be on meds like that forever.
The main reason why ACV is not told to be taken by the medical

Dr. prescribed Protonix three months ago - they work FANTASTIC --BUT--
side effects are headaches and anxiety - so as of a couple of weeks ago
I stopped taking it because the side effects were outweighing the
benefits.
I had heard about the ACV and I bought some yesterday and tried it

am suffocating.
I know it is the acv, because that is all I take.
My bowel syndrome is better. Always feeling constipated at one time.
Guess what???Better than before.
I need to say this, I have kidney disease, high blood pressure, and God
knows what else they (the doctors) have diagnose me with. Now I am not
suggesting stop taking your meds, I speak what is best for me and my
experience with acv since about 1 month ago.
I have not taken any nexium, no high blood pressure medicne(Toprol) and
avalide, with a diueretic. This is my choice, because I feel so much
better taking acv. I take 3-4 teaspoons before and a teaspoon ater
eating.
I feel good. I really do. I have yet to tell my doctors anything,
because I have no need to see them right now. So why claim a sickness
or be reminded of one that they said I have.
Might have been true. But I know what I feel. I feel good....B.S.

I'm a believer in ACV!
I'm over 40 and thin. A couple years ago I had several months of
stomach pain, especially at night. I didn't sleep well, began having
heart palpitations and trouble breathing. I just felt lousy all the
time.
After a normal heart ultrasound, upper GI and colonoscopy to rule out
anything serious, my doctor put me on Acifex, then Nexium, then
Prilosec. Everything seemed make the problem worse.
In desperation, I did some research on the web and found that people
over 40 don't always make enough stomach acid. Not only that, it's
often misdiagnosed because the symptoms are nearly the same for people
who make too much stomach acid.
I didn't have anything to lose with the ACV treatment, so I tried it.
Within SECONDS I had relief from the burning pain! For the next couple
weeks I took a dose before meals and bedtime. I tapered off, and now
only have to take it once a month or so if I'm feeling that old
uncomfortable feeling creeping up again. The relief is always immediate.
I just use the store brand ACV without the mother. Cheap, effective,
and readily available. Who could ask for more?!

To everyone who took assertive action to help avoid prescription and
OTC drugs, I applaud you.
I just had an endoscopy and it confirmed mild, non-erosive GERD.
Since doctors are only 'treating symptoms' and not educated on
"alternatives" other than drugs, we need to research natural remedies.
Aren't WE the ones taking the risks?
I've read articles from all over the world and the evidence is
compelling, we can avoid drugs.
Most drugs contain dyes, fillers/binders and synthetic preservatives,
including Tums, Mylanta etc. Prilocec/Omeprazole does NOT cure GERD.
Probably does more harm. The INACTIVE ingredients are scary!
ACV alone with water or with baking soda DOES work. BAKING SODA is an
antacid, without the harmful additives.
2 tsp Tumeric+1/2 tsp ground black pepper, organic apple after meals,
raw almonds, soaked in pure water, 5-6 before/after meals, fennel or
chamomile tea AND CHEWING food, ALL work.
I recommend dietary changes to include more 'alkaline' foods. PH
Miracle by DR Young, Alkalize or Die by Baroody, list these foods or go
online for chart.
t isn't easy for me, to visit France and NOT drink wine or indulge in
dairy but I just do it less. Change isn't easy but CANCER isn't either!
BE PROACTIVE, doctors have their purpose..to medicate and operate.
Research everything, eat as much organic as you can...yes you CAN
afford it.
Our drug and food industry contributes to DISEASE CARE not health
care...we are more profitable being ill.
Use every tool you can to beat the odds. Your life depends on it!

Whenever I'm over-eating, which has been too often lately, I get
serious heart burn or tightness in my chest, it has been
chronic.
The pain in my chest lasts through the night and until I wake
up. Then goes away once I'm up and about for the day- only to
return the next night.
Almost by accident, after hearing of ACV being good for you, I poured
some in big cup of water, and drank it.
Then even though I ate way more than I should've (again), i.e. cookies,
brownies, etc for dessert this evening, I woke up in the middle of the
night to go to the bathroom, and couldn't believe that there was no
heartburn or chest pain and tightness.
So I came to the computer at 4:30am to google it, and here we are.
ACV is amazing!! I'd say it's better to get unpasteurized,
organic with the stringy looking floatie things in it called "mother".
Until I'm able to control my over-eating and improve my diet, I expect
to continue mixing ACV in some water and drinking it every evening

I have had stomache issues for years.
In the last few months I have had an endoscopy, which was
fine and a gastric emptying test, also fine.
My Dr. put me on prevacid. I do not like taking any drugs and was
sceptical.
I research everything before I take it.
After two and a half months my Dr. said I would be on it for
the rest of my life.
That doesnt work for me so I stopped and have been using acv and honey
in water. Still working on the right dose but it is much better without
the possibility of polups in the future from the drugs.

I have had bad acid reflux for the last few years, I tried prilosec and
it did not help.
ACV is the only thing that has ever worked for me.
UNREAL, first time I tried it, it was a miracle in a bottle.

I have been suffering from acid reflux for several years now and I'm
taking daily medication.
A month ago, my brother showed me a webpage printout about my condition
being cured by ACV.
Reluctantly and with much prodding from my brother, I tried it. I swear
that all the systoms I have for acid reflux went away from day one.
I don't know how it works...I only know it does.

I found cider vinegar to be a great help with a little honey after all
the medicines prescribed by doctor had not cured problem.
I also get what they call waterbrash with this excess saliva and found
the cv to help.
When I told the doctor, he said definately to stop, as this would be
more acid but I do not think he knows what he is talking about.
He then prescribed something else to me and when I looked at side
effects decided to continue with cider vinegar and will increase dose
to twice a day.

Sometimes after I have eaten, especially if I eat late at night my food
doesn't seem to digest properly, therefore I have gotten in the habit
of taking a tablespoon of ACV in 4 ozs of water at night and it works
wonders.
It also helps for people who have problems with constipation.

I just started using ACV 1 week ago for my heartburn/reflux and it
works wonders.
I was skeptical at first, when a friend told me about it, but when I
had a bad attack of heartburn and was out of my over the counter med, I
tried it.
It worked right away no waiting for the relief to come.
Its really the best thing for heartburn/reflux

Always remember: doctors aren't going to recommend ACV cause they can't
make any money off it. Same with the pharmaceutical industry.
I tried ACV and it cured heartburn and there are no side effects. The
two teaspoons I took probably cost about 10 cents, so like $3 a month
if used every day.
You think a doctor is going to tell you about anything that only costs
$3 a month?

Yes, ACV really works - I've known about it for years, but didn't think
it applied to me and my heartburn problem.
After taking Pepcid Complete for several years (it works fine, but has
an unpleasant aftertaste) I finally tried apple cider vinegar (Braggs,
with the mother). It was instant relief and wonderful.
Anyone who has experienced that awful burning sensation in the throat
should try the ACV - I use a scant capful in 5 oz. warm water; I
actually like the taste, and it works better than anything else. So
simple, so inexpensive. Doctors don't know beans about good medicine.

Yes ACV (apple cider vinegar) really works.
I have had problems with heartburn for years now. I was eating a packet
of anti-acid tablets every day. Then I went to doctor and he put me on
PARIET tablets, was on that for about a year and they are not cheap. So
then I started using ZANTAC tablets which don't require doctor`s
prescription. However I knew although these tablets were very good I
needed something more natural without side effects.
And yes I have found the combination of 2 natural things. 1st I started
eating 2 apples/day and just last week i discovered the benefits of ACV
and started drinking 2 teaspoons with glass of water twice a day and my
acid reflux is gone and I don`t have to poison myself with expensive
anti-acid tablets.
Today I started brewing my own vinegar and read everything I could find
about it and I am amazed how healthy it can be.
I am so happy that I will continue drinking it every day. :)

I had to share this story after finally finding ACV.
For years, I couldn't sleep through the night, and I interpreted what I
felt as hunger. At the worst times, I would have this during the day as
well. I would wake up like clockwork, at 1:30AM, and eat a bowl of
cereal, which would calm my stomach. After years of this I developed
cavities (because of eating and going right to bed) and could not lose
weight (due to the extra calories at night). I bought a new top of the
line $3000 dollar bed, no difference.
I went to the gastro, and he prescribed Rantidine , which I had horrid
sexual side effects on, but it worked GREAT. I tried Fantomidine, same
exact results.
I slept for the first time in years. I tried 2X a day Braggs ACV (2
tblspoons in water) and I could feel instant soothing and relief. The
only reason why this isn't prescribed is because it costs 4 dollars per
month, the medical community and doctors are a racket. I take it every
morning and night and sleep perfectly.
I went off of it, and within a day relapsed. This is not a placebo, but
a real cure for people like me, that don't have a physical condition
like hiatus hernia. My father suffered the same way and is on Aciphex
for the rest of his life. Why bother if I can fix with this simple home
remedy that has other health benefits and no side effects ?
It's amazing, please try if you have this same problem.

I can't believe that this actually worked. It tastes pretty vile, but
after days of feeling like hell, I was willing to try anything.
The first night I took it -- was the first night I've been able to
sleep through in days since my GERD has flared up.
I am amazed that something so simple really does work. I still continue
to take Prilosec, but the immediacy of the ACV was really amazing.

I have been taking a medication for GERD for over four years.
The past year I developed a chronic cough, after eating. After seeing
four various types of doctors and increasing the Pantaprazole to twice
a day to no avail, yesterday I tried a tablespoon of ACV mixed with an
equal part honey.
This morning I took two tsp of each and at lunch took one tsp of each.
So far today I haven't had any real coughing fits at all. Perhaps it's
too early to tell if it really is working, but it certainly seems to.
If so, I will gladly stop the medication.
Thanks for providing this info!!!

I just jumped out of bed because I was going to throw up (having acid
reflux).
I went through all my medicines looking for an anti acid and couldn't
find anything. I couldn't sleep because of the burning in my throat.
I search the web for an instant solution and I found this website.
Saw the ACV remedy, went to my kitchen and did it.
I'm feeling great, its awesome!!!

I have been on Prevacid for 3 months now and the pain in my chest has
become unbareable.
At first it was strictly to the left chest area. Recently it has spread
over to the right chest area and at times I find it hard to swallow
foods as I can feel the discomfort.
Today for the first time I tried ACV after reading all of your
testimonials.
I can honestly say that I am feeling great. I intend to continue this
until I feel safe enough to stop. But the drugs are done with as of
tonight.
Thank you to all of you.... this is awesome.
