I used to go to a lot of horse shows and used apple cider vinegar for something I don't see here on your site.
If you do a lot of traveling with horses, put a bit (I used 1/4-1/2 cup in their drinking water every once in a while. That way, if you have a picky horse, you can do the same on the road and at the shows to disguise the fact that it's not the same water and your horse will drink freely.
Works best in a trough, or bucket. Not for automatic little stall waterers that don't allow for long free drinking and play.
Adjust measurement to suit size of container. You'd use less in a bucket, more in a trough.
