I have a female cat that is prone to urinary tract blockage.
This problem first happened in the middle of the night . . .
My cats litter box is in my bathroom so I could hear her
scratching in the litter and in there for awhile.
I went to check and saw that she had several very small pees and
was still trying to go.
I had this happen many years ago to a male cat and this is what I did then and again this time with my girl "Smuckers".
I saturated a cotton ball with ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) and applied to the back of her neck, getting the ACV on the skin so it could be absorbed.
Then I opened a can of tuna and drained off the water into a small bowl and added filtered water to dilute and added 1 teaspoon of ACV. She loved it and licked a good amount of it up. Within 2 hours she was free flowing again.
I feed her a high quality food but she was still prone to this problem. So now I give her 1/8 teaspoon mixed in 1T of canned food 2 times a day. No problems anymore.
Also it has cleared up her runny eyes.
I discussed this with my Vet and he approved of my treatment and said years ago this is a well known remedy (prior to drugs). My cat is 11 pounds.
Now I give it to my dog and myself on a daily basis!
