I'm just another happy person that wants to report the amazing results using ACV to treat plantar warts.

I've had this darn thing on my foot for at least 8 months and I spent countless amount of money on over the counter product and a $500 bill to have it 'freeze' at the doctor office. I was running two races (a half marathon and a 10 Mile) with the wart on my foot. I found this site and decided to try (What do I have to loose :-)

I soaked a small piece of cotton in the ACV and covered it with a band-aid and some tape and I wear a sock before bed each night. The next morning, I removed the band-aid and cotton, then file off the dead skin. It took about 1 week of treatment before I saw a result. I'm in my third week of treatment and the pain has completly gone, I can run my long run over the weekend without constantly thinking and feeling the pain on my foot.

I will never, EVER, use another method if I get another wart. This will save you money and pain as long as you stay with the treatment until you see the result.

I developed a plantar wart on the bottom of my big toe a number of years ago through a cut. Thought it was just a callus at first before I realized it was a wart.

I tried the Compound W and duct tape methods, but they only seemed to make the wart spread into a larger cluster on my toe.

Last May, I found this site and gave it a try. I did it for about a month at first and saw some improvement, but they were still there, so I stopped for a while (just got impatient and too busy to keep at it every day).

I started up again in September (since summer was over and there was no reason to wear sandals anymore), this time taping pieces of vinegar soaked cotton balls from Q-tips to my toe with duct tape, and change them every day in the evening (I showered in the morning, keeping a zip lock over my to toe with a rubber band to keep it dry). When changing the dressing in the evening, I would file it down with a pumice stone before taping it back up.

It has taken longer than a a week like a lot of testimonials say, but the main wart and all the surrounding ones are all mostly gone. It's amazing.

There's still a couple discolored parts, so I'm keeping it taped for a couple more days just to be safe, but I think I'm finally rid of them. I used some Neosporin on my toe as well to help the new skin heal as well.

So my advice is this: be patient, and keep at it, even if you don't see results in the first couple weeks. Just keep filing away, and wrapping everyday, it will be worth it, I promise. So glad I found this site.

I kept thinking that all these 'comments' were fake..that someone wrote them all..for what reason I did not come up with...and since ACV is so cheap, I figured that no one is going to make money off of these comments...

I had 3 small ones on my chin. For about a year.
I had tried the usual: the dermatologist burned them off...they came back.
I tried freezing them off myself with over the counter kind - I did that a number of times.
And they came back. (within a week) OK - so tried the ACV.

Put a cotton ball in ACV and then put the cotton ball over the 3 small warts on my chin and used a bandaid to hold cotton ball in place. Then went to sleep (the warts 'tingled' but no pain).
The first day - they appeared kind of the same.
Did it again 2nd night. 2nd day - the center of all 3 looked different. As if it was turning brown or something. Just a small part of the center. Did it 3rd night. 3rd day they appeared to me to be getting smaller - and sort of drying up.

It seemed to be working. A scab formed on each of the three over the next fews days (I kept doing the cotton ball each night when I slept and did nothing during the day)
I'd say after about a week the scabs all came off and it has been about 3 weeks now and so far the warts have not come back. If they do? Or if they even TRY to?
I'll just use the ACV again.

I'm actually pretty amazed.
The only part I really dislike is the smell.
But it is only at night. And the smell is worth the results.

One day I noticed "something" on my left foot and didn't really think anything if it until two days later...two more warts!

Before going to the doctors and spending money (hey, I was in college), I decided to try to attack the problem myself. The ACV had a lot of positive reviews so I went for it.

I soaked it in a bowl of ACV and at night taped a cotton ball filled to capacity on each wart and then put a sock over it to keep it off of my bed.

By the next day, they'd turned white with a small hole in the middle! I was floored. There was improvement each day, and by the fourth day it did sting a little like other people experienced.

Totally worth it though, they were gone in a week! It was one of the best three dollars spent! Haha I highly recommend trying this out and stick to it, you may find yourself surprised every morning :)

So I had this little pair of warts on my neck for about six months or so. They were small but unwanted. The neck is a pretty sensual part of the body and no place for warts to be all up in.

I did the old doctor thing as you do and they came at me with scary chemicals and left me with a scar.

The warts remained.

I began applying apple cider vinegar with great gusto as soon as I found this site. TAKE HEED. The neck is a sensitive place and the skin around the wart is not always pleased to be doused in the stuff. After learning this lesson, however, I worked out a successful game plan:

1. Cover the surrounding skin with vaseline.

2. Dab a cotton bud in apple cider vinegar.

3. Hold cotton bud against wart - 10 - 15 mins.

I repeated this once or twice a day, always accompanied by a pleasant burning sensation , and after about 2 - 3 weeks the little bastards were gone.

I have waited ages since then to write this review to make sure they didn't come back. And they didn't!!!!!

Wow !!!!!!! It is for real!

I got a common wart on my right middle finger while pregnant. It bothered me sooooo much. I even picked it off with tweezers one day. It grew back in a couple weeks twice bigger. So then next I tried freeze off, it only burn't down the top layer & that was it.

It works! I was really skeptical that ACV would work on a wart I'd had for years and years. It was a very large wart and just wouldn't go away on its own.

I soaked a cotton ball with ACV and applied it to the wart with a bandaid. I only wore this overnight while I slept because the smell is kind of strong and it does sting very badly. The pain forced me to only use this for about 3 nights.

After the first night, the center of the wart turned dark, but then the whole thing turned white. I was disappointed because it didn't come off. I stopped using the vinegar, but about a week later, the whole thing came off on its own.

It was raw for about a week, but the new skin is growing back, and it looks great! I feel more confident already!

I have been fighting genital warts since mid summer 2012. I have only had two sexual partners and at the age of 34, I can hardly be perceived as a promiscuous person. I was horrified by my diagnosis. I literally cried in the Dr. office when I was given the news.

I had hundreds of flat warts all over my hands, back of hands and palms for almost 3 years. It really really caused emotional stress, I tried everything from over the counter products, doctors, dermatologists and apple cider.

Although apple cider works well on the odd one or two warts its not ideal for as many as I had (50 plus. I persevered with the cider, it helped remove some but I ended up really burning my skin, it and it became too painful.

I am now almost wart free, I gave up the apple vinegar cider and decided to get my immune system back to normal. Bit of a cliche but it honestly worked.

I started taking immune tablets, lots of fresh fruit and veg but I read that drinking Green Tea seemed to help. I started drinking one cup a day, although its pretty disgusting I kept going and without a word of a lie within 2 weeks I noticed a reduction and after almost 2 months they have pretty much disappeared.

I urge anyone to try this, is simple, inexpensive, and very effective. i honestly wish i had come across this sooner as it would have saved a lot of stress and heartache.

Question... I have been using ACV on plantar warts... it's the only thing that seems to have the slightest effect on them.

Like most people here said, it turns them black- love that because it seems like they're actually dying. The only problem is, I've been using it for at least two months, nightly. It's like it has an effect, only to a certain extent. But the root of the wart just doesn't seem to go away! It keeps coming back. The ACV was supposed to work within a week (bit longer for plantar warts--but not two months!!).

The main problem is that on certain parts of my foot, the ACV causes such pain that I wake up in the middle of the night and have to take it off, which probably slows the killing process.

Any recommendations? Anyone used it successfully on plantar warts? Do I need to just toughen up and see it through?

My success is below. I hope it's useful to someone.

About seven years ago I developed a wart on the underside of my left middle finger. I thought it would go away of its own accord, as it arrived just like that, and it didn't get in my way much. It also wasn't that big. I eventually tried duct tape, banana peel, and Bazuka. Only the Bazuka worked. However, it was a delicate process.

Some time later a wart appeared in the middle of my left thumb, right where I press things with it. That was annoying, it meant I couldn't use a games console comfortably, or anything else that required a thumb press. The wart seemed to be mostly under the skin, only breaking the surface at its top. I tried digging at it with a scalpel, and using Bazuka again, unsuccessfully. I went to my doctor and had it frozen. A few days later, after it turned a dark colour, it seemed to fall out, and indeed my thumb got better for a while, but shortly after, it returned. I kept digging at it and using Bazuka. I went to the doctor again but was told the specialist no longer visit the practise, so I was out of luck. I can't remember what or how, but eventually the wart vanished. However, one appeared shortly after…

This time, the wart was right in the middle of the tip of my right index finger, arguably the worst place a wart could be. It was the same kind of wart as before, it seemed to start growing beneath the surface, preventing me from straight cutting it off. Again with the digging with a scalpel, and Bazuka, which I had just about given up on — it was as if my virus had become immune to it. I researched the internet and read about apple cider vinegar, and decided to give it a go.

I initially soaked some cotton bud in ACV and left it on overnight. It was difficult to affix it to the fingertip, and this method wasn't effective. I subsequently tipped a small amount of ACV into the lid of the bottle, and dipped just the wart part of my finger in it, brought it out and let the droplet soak in or evaporate. Repeat many times. This meant my right index finger was out of action for the duration of treatment, and I learned to type without using that finger (I'm a programmer and computer geek). I only did that on an evening when I was home from work. At other times, I left the wart to breathe. Because I did this pretty much all the time when I was at home, the ACV soon began to eat away at the wart, and the surrounding skin tissue.

It was painful, sure, but I was adamant that I would not let this wart ruin my life. The area that the ACV dissolved was about half an inch in diameter, larger than the size of the wart itself, so I was confident that the whole wart was being exposed. I realised that nothing I had read about using ACV on warts mentioned when to stop. My wart didn't turn black during this. Initially, it turned a dark red colour, but I thought that was bruising and my finger trying to heal, or perhaps that's just the colour that ACV plus flesh turns.

After a week, the skin started to turn a creamy–yellow, but I persisted, because it was still stinging, and I had it in my mind that the stinging was the wart dying. Eventually, after a few weeks, I stopped, and let it heal. The wart was not in sight and my finger looked normal. It still felt tingly under there, I assumed because of nerve damage that the ACV did. The tingling subsided, and I was wart free, or so I thought.

After a couple of weeks, the wart was back, in exactly the same place. I was not happy. I knew the ACV was the only thing that had worked, so I persisted with it again. This time, I wanted to go directly into the wart, not just bath it from the top. I thought about using a syringe and injecting just a small amount of ACV into the wart, but I didn't have a syringe. Instead, after digging out as much of the wart as possible, I laced a thread with ACV and dripped onto the wart just enough ACV to cover it. I was now melting away only the wart area and not much of the surrounding tissue. I kept at this for about a week, before I decided to paint over the area with clear nail varnish before going to bed, and wearing that until the next day when I got home to continue ACV. This meant I wasn't giving the wart a chance to breathe. It also protected the area during daytime usage, and also I imagine reduced the chance of me spreading the virus to things I touched.

Again, the area turned cream-yellow, so I decided to stop and let it heal a bit so I could see what was what. Again, it healed perfectly, and now, some weeks later, it looks completely healed, no sign of a wart, and any tingling I think I can feel, I think is just in my mind, because I had gotten used to something being there. I wish I had taken pictures to share, because I wish I had seen some from somebody who had a wart like mine. I don't doubt that I still have the virus, and I wouldn't be surprised if I develop another wart in future, but next time I'll be prepared for that sucker.

To summarise: Digging and AVC applied directly to the wart for a week or two.

I'm 27 and I have flat warts on my face, mainly my forehead. I probably have 13 or 14 of them.

It started out with one wart, which I thought was a spot, then spread in small clusters. I discovered that they were flat warts after about 2 months, and tried using duct tape for a while. That didn't work, but I only did it for a couple of weeks so it may not have been long enough.

Anyway, then I tried apple cider vinegar, on a teeny piece of cotton wool, stuck on with duct tape. I concentrated on the first wart I had gotten, which was the biggest. It got really itchy and quite sore and red, and skin peeled off a few times, then one day about 2 weeks in, the wart turned yellow. I kept up the treatment and about 3 days later, the wart just CAME OFF while I was washing my face! It was amazing, I really wasn't expecting it. There's now a small hole in my forehead where the wart was, but I would take a small hole over a wart any day. It's barely noticeable when I have make-up on and I'm sure it'll heal over more.

I'm treating some of the other warts now, and hoping the same thing happens. It's hard to treat them all at once because obviously they're on my face so it's a bit unsightly when they turn red and yellow and angry-looking. It's also sore when I try to treat a whole cluster at once, so I'm doing tiny tiny pieces of cotton on individual warts.

But I'm so happy I've found something, it's been horrible having these on my face and I've been really self-conscious about them.

Would really recommend this; I was dubious about using vinegar on my face, as it is quite harsh on the skin. I think you just have to weigh up whether you would put up with a tiny scar to get rid of the warts, and for me, it was definitely worth it!

ACV really works.

I had 2 small warts on the bottom of my toe for years. I finally went to the doctor to have them froze off. The entire area turned into a huge blister. Instead of the blister healing, the whole thing turned into a wart. Compound W only made it even bigger. Duct tape, banana peel didn't work.

About four years ago, I noticed a small rough patch on the side of my index fingernail. I didn't think much of it until it began to hurt a bit and refused to go away over the course of several months. At a random check up, I asked my doctor about it. She took a glance and said that it was a wart.

She wrote a prescription for a compound that could be mixed at a local pharmacy, and told me to just apply it a couple times per day until it went away. I started using it and initially noticed no change. After a couple weeks of using it, the wart began to grow larger and more inflamed. I assumed this meant that it was working, and continued to apply it throughout my day while it continued to grow. After a couple months, it started creeping under my nail, lifting it slowly off the nail bed. Naively I continued to use it until my nail began catching on things and lifting up, connected now only by a small area of skin.

I worried that my whole nail would catch and peel off, so I filed it down to the root, leaving behind virtually no visible nail, exposing the wart, which I continued to treat with the compound she had recommended. I watched as the gnarled, black spotted growth slowly took over the entire top portion of my finger.

This was an issue, as I work in the beauty industry and constantly have my hands exposed while doing makeup and various spa services. The doctor had also said I could file it down with a nail file on occasion, so I started doing that. It smoothed it out a bit, so it wasn't as obvious, but I still had no nail, and an ugly mass where it had once been. Although I was very careful to use gloves during treatments and avoided any direct contact with other people, they started to notice and ask questions. I hardly wanted to be the makeup artist applying eye shadow and explaining that I had a wart on the very finger holding the brush, so I began adapting how I used the brushes. How I wrote, how I signaled, waved- anything that involved a person seeing my finger. It disappeared in photos. I always looked like I was holding up some sort of weird gang symbol when I did anything with my hands.

Six months after my initial doctor visit, I decided to return and find out what was going on. I explained what I had been doing to treat the wart, and the doctor looked down at it. "A wart? I don't see a wart. No, that is just scar tissue." she assured. So I left the office, confused, but confident that the person with the PhD must know what she is talking about, and discontinued use. But the "scar tissue" began growing and spreading at a rapid speed, even when I filed it down. It could completely regenerate in a matter of hours. At this point, I started trying the over the counter remedies. These also only seemed to infuriate it and it continued to grow and throb. Meanwhile, I noticed a second growth developing on the nail of my ring finger. I decided I must have just trusted the wrong doctor, so I found a dermatologist. She suggested we try freezing, and thus I began the third attempt of getting rid of the warts.

(Now that there are two, let's avoid confusion by naming them. I'll name the first one after the first doctor, because it was basically her creation, and doctors like to name things they discover/create after themselves, right? So the first wart on my index finger will now be referred to as "Weeno" (yep, Dr. Weeno.) and the second, we will just name "Ringo", because it was on my ring finger, and they sound cute together. Nothing against the Beatles. Nobody wanted to hold MY hand.)

Twice a week for an entire summer, at $40 out of pocket per treatment, I went in and had her freeze both warts. The pain was very sharp initially. My hands would shake as I tried to drive home from my appointments, and large blisters would form over the warts which I did my best to leave alone as I worked with my hands all day. The pain would subside after a few hours, and I could get through my day without too much discomfort. I began the freezing treatment in June, and made it to August with absolutely no change whatsoever before the thought occurred to me that perhaps some doctors didn't really know what they were doing (or care.) So I stopped throwing my money at them. I started coming to terms with the fact that Weeno and Ringo may just become a permanent fixture on my hand.

I continued to file them daily, trying to stop before they bled, because I found bleeding made them spread out further. This carried on for some time, and before I knew it, I had had my two ugly buddies for three years. By this point, I didn't even need an index finger. I learned how to work entirely without it. I got used to the pain I felt every time anything even gently grazed against them. I generated vague explanations to give people when they asked why I appeared to have a zombie finger. I read a news article about a man who cut off his thumb with an ax because it had a wart on it. The general public's reaction was that this man was simply crazy. My reaction was, "Huh. An ax? Wrong tool, right idea. I wonder if..." (I promise this isn't a story about me amputating my own finger in a fit of insanity. Though that would certainly make this testimonial more interesting.)

Anyway, I realized that I was pretty desperate to get rid of Weeno and Ringo, although they had been so loyal to me through the years. I began searching for home remedies. I tried using banana peels first. I did notice that they would shrink the buggers a bit, but it was very hard to keep fresh bananas in the house at all times, and the cashier started giving me this strange, "This is either for sex, or you have an illegal pet chimp." look when came in to buy a bundle twice a week. So I reached out to a close friend for help in finding other options. She suggested Apple Cider Vinegar, which lead to my discovery of this website.

I went out and bought a bottle of organic ACV for about $3.00 and started soaking a bit of cotton ball in it, then applying it to my fingers by wrapping them in duct tape every night. For the first couple nights, there was slight discomfort, but I was able to take a mild pain killer and sleep through it. Weeno did not like this at all. The black speckles deep under the skin began to rise to the surface, and I continued to file them down daily. Though the black specks made it much more noticeable, I was happy to see something, ANYTHING change without the dynamic duo spreading out and trashing my fingers like a frat house.

After about a week, the pain started. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I make it through tattoos, piercings and waxes without anything more than a flinch, but this was a pain I had never experienced. It took about five minutes after applying the ACV for it to really kick in, but when It did, I couldn't focus on anything else. It was similar to the pain you feel when you slam your finger in a car door, but it didn't go away. Just that initial pang of metal slamming on both sides of your finger without any release. I could no longer sleep with them on, so I would apply the cotton and duct tape in the evening around 9:00, and keep it on until about 3:00am. I was basically useless for the entire time I was treating the warts. I would usually try to distract myself with a movie, shaking my hand constantly like I was waiting for nail polish to dry. Every instinct urged me to remove them and stop the pain, but I pressed on for several weeks, and then months. This was my last resort. I had no other options.

I started reading the testimonials on this website, and found great comfort in doing so. I steadied my breathing, shook my hand, curled my toes, and read through them while the pain throbbed in the tips of my fingers and sent shooting pains down the lengths of them, into my hand. I looked at pictures of beautifully painted fingernails and henna tattoos, and dreamed of a day when I would be able to get a manicure, sign a document in front of someone, touch someone without being self conscious. To be able to button a shirt without pain.

I would remove the tape and cotton before going to bed, but the pain often continued into the night and I often found myself curled up in the fetal position, clenching my hand into a fist, crying and completely unable to ease the blinding pain until about 5 or 6 in the morning, before getting up and going to work a couple hours later. Weeno and Ringo were now both black and did not spread, though they were also not shrinking. For several hours after treatment, they were puffy and white with dead skin bulging around each little black dot. I bandaged them during the day, as they were finally so unsightly, it was nearly impossible to hide them. I probably went through a box of bandaids every week. This continued from April to August.

Finally one morning when I was late to work after staying up all night in excruciating pain, I decided to give up. I put the ACV, cotton balls and tape away, and decided that Weeno, Ringo and I were just going to have to start a band or join the circus or something. A week passed, and I noticed Ringo was shrinking on its own. Weeno didn't shrink, but it didn't require me to file it down anymore. After another week passed, one night I pulled out the ACV and gave it another shot. I only treated Weeno this time, as I thought the pain would be easier to bear if I treated them one at a time. Mild discomfort followed, but it was nothing like how it had been. I waited a couple days before treating it again, and watched as it began to shrink.

I continued on this way, treating it about twice per week, and found that I could leave the tape on all night. Meanwhile, Ringo continued to shrink on its own. One day in the shower, I noticed that some of Weeno was lifting, so i peeled it back and pulled half of it completely off, exposing healthy pink skin underneath. I nearly ran down the street nude in celebration with shampoo still in my hair, but decided against it. By mid September, the rest had either peeled off or simply vanished.

My ring finger now looks completely normal, as if nothing was ever wrong. Weeno left more of a mark, as my fingernail is still growing back out, but it appears to be a healthy nail, slowly re-attaching to the nail bed. I've grown out all my other nails now, and look forward to my henna/manicure party that I'll be throwing as soon as my index nail is long enough.

I got a wart when I was pregnant with twins on my toe right against my small toe. (I believe it was from my toe constantly rubbing on my shoes and my other toe nail where I received a cut, then when I wore flip flops or took my shoes off in class I exposed myself to the virus).

At first I didn't know it was a wart so I constantly picked at it. I even cut it a couple times and saw that it came back and really was a visible wart at that point.

I read about the banana peel method so I tried that for about a week. I didn't have duct tape so i used painters tape and taped it the best i could. Sometimes it would fall off so I would just redo the peel and tape again. Being as big and far along as I was and busy with appointments, not seeing much difference with the wart other than a slight decrease in size and it drying out, I gave up and just began rubbing the banana peel on it when I remembered. After that it stayed dried out and stuck out even further, I figured that meant it was starting to reject from my body so I left it alone for a while.

After I gave birth and was healed up a few weeks later I decided to resume treatment. I took nail clippers and clipped off about half of the wart that was dried out. I saw two red dots and they started bleeding a little. I just kept toilet paper pushed against it until the bleeding stopped. Then I put a banana peel on there and taped it shut again. To make sure the tape wouldn't fall off and the wart was smothered I took a skinny ribbon and wrapped it all the way around tightly and tied it up. My toe throbbed that whole night. The pain was pretty bad and i have a high pain tolerance. It was like a pain with every heart beat that ran through my foot and up my leg. I couldn't take any Aspirin since I was still recovering from my c-section and the Motrin they gave me are ineffective so I just dealt with the pain. The next day the wart had grown back over and was white with more black dots. I filed it and kept on with the banana peel for a couple days.

But I wasn't seeing much change so I decided to try the apple cider vinegar. Same technique with the filing and tape but with the vinegar.

Immediately the next night I saw that the wart was browning and there was many black dots and the middle appeared to be turning black while the outside was white. I was paranoid about the increase in black dots but figured I had no choice but to carry on with this method so I did.

The next night there was more dots and the wart turned brown. And the next night the wart had turned black and decreased in size. I kept with it for the next week and it kept getting smaller and smaller. At one point the black part came off but there was still white. I stopped putting vinegar for a couple days, since I didn't have any and just used duct tape and ribbon on it, then the next time that white part with the black dots had turned brown and just came off like a scab when I filed. I stuck with it another day to file off a little bit of white that had been on the outside of the mole that was still on there. Today I was able to file that off.

Im hoping its gone for good! But i still am putting duct tape on it until I know for sure.

Im glad I tried natural methods before wasting money on painful freeze kits of doctors procedures. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get of a wart to try this method first! Personally I thought this was not even painful compared to the banana peel but maybe that was because when I used clippers I cut off healthy skin and immediately cut into the vessels and made them bleed. With the vinegar and file I was able to hurt less healthy skin and not make drastic cuts causing bleeding.

P.S. During this whole time I ate as healthy as I could those first couple weeks. And increased my water intake the whole time.

The last week I also took vitamin C and Zinc + my prenatal vitamins since I read that people have taken zinc to fight off warts without any treatment. Anything to strengthen your immune system will help to fight it off.

I had this SUPER painful plantar wart on my heel for almost a year.

I tried having it frozen off by my GP, freezing it at home, several types of medicines and also going to a podiatrist several times, who would "shave" my wart off each time and apply more medicine, but NOTHING worked. My Dr then prescribed me a "cancer cream medication" which was suppose to possibly stimulate my immune system to "eat my wart". It was $500 dollars! I had actually planned to go the next day and pick up the RX and pay that much money, but I thought I would Google it first. When I looked it up, I read that there were HORRIBLE side effects and even deaths from it! I went back to my Dr and he said that my only other option was to laser it off at a outpatient surgery center, and that they would have to put me under for the surgery and that there was a chance it could come back!

At this point I desperately searched the web for hours, looking for any other way. Then I stumbled upon this site! So many testimonials about ACV working, what did I have to loose. So I skeptically tried this method and to my amazement, IT WORKED!!

Heres what I did: I pulled the tip off a Q tip and soaked it in ACV, then applied it to my wart and covered it with a waterproof band aid at bedtime. In the morning, I cut a piece of duct tape in a circle approximatly the same size as my wart and securely applied to my wart. I left the duct tape on my wart for about three days, (even in the shower). After the third day, I soaked my wart in warm water (while in the shower). After the shower, I filed my wart down with a pumice stone to get any dead skin off. Then I would start the whole process on my freshly filed wart.

I did this persistently approximately every three to four days for about two months total. I was completely pain free after about 5 weeks, but the wart was plainly still there so I kept up this treatment until the wart was visibly gone. I am now completely pain free, worry free and can wear all of my pretty shoes again! If you just keep at it and be persistent, it will work! I promise!!!

I have to say, when I found this website I was skeptical about the ability of ACV to really work. But I was desperate and so I decided to try it.

In 2010 I got what I *thought* was a splinter in the bottom of my big toe. I couldn't get it out, so decided to wait for it to work itself out. Instead it calloused up and became very painful- like walking with a rock in your shoe. By the time I realized my "splinter" was a plantar wart, it was already pretty deep. I tried an over the counter remedy- the gel pads- but like so many have said- it only made the single wart return as multiples.

Bear with me because I think this will help you.....So after having the most savage wart continue to grow underneath the left hand side of my index fingernail, I am proud and relieved to be able to share my 6 month process of trial and error....then success of eradicating the stubborn, horrible thing.

The wart first appeared as a white lump underneath the tip of the nail and after several months of discarding it as a callous, I soon realised it was in fact a wart. A subungual / periungual wart to be exact (the hardest to remove apparently). My first attempt was to try freezing it. Due to its location, this was incredibly painful and after 3 attempts the wart had actually grown in size and bedded itself further beneath the nail and down the side. I stopped that immediately as it worsened the situation very quickly. That was when I started to delve into more online research which brought me to this very site and this suggested remedy....

Encouraged by the countless testimonials, I decided to get some organic ACV, some duct tape and some cotton buds to give it a go. The pain was something I had never experienced in my life. I'm a 27 year old guy and consider myself to have a decent pain threshold but this was extremely intense. But I stuck with it as I was sure it would be effective. The wart did not turn black, it would just pulsate with pain continuously and after a month of minimal progress and a hell of a lot of sleepless nights and uncomfortable days I had to go back to the drawing board once again. The nail bed itself had become damaged by the acidity of the vinegar and worsened the condition even more making me very depressed and obviously (if you are reading this you know) self conscious and embarrassed by it. At this point I thought it was going to take the whole fingertip.

Disheartened by that, I decided to take a more holistic/herbal route. HPV is the cause of warts and it directly affects the immune system so I went for a totally new PAIN FREE approach that included ACV as an active ingredient….

I bolstered my vitamin intake, started taking omega 3, powdered greens, green tea, upped my exercise, cut out sweets, cut out booze, and tried a new technique I though of myself. BUT IT WORKED. After 3 to 4 weeks.....

I would apply the ACV topically to the wart with a cotton bud for about ten minutes, then when it would start to throb I would let it dry. I would then apply a drop of Oil of Oregano (tea tree or Thuja oil would work also I think), I would then apply a small piece of banana peel over the wart and then intricately wrap the fingertip in duct tape to suffocate it completely. Changing it once to twice a day. Sounds like a witches potion I know, but I would try anything to get rid of it.

No Pain. Maximum progress. The wart began to shrink after a week and looked like it was receding naturally rather than being blasted aggressively by acid, ice or surgery. Now my fingernail is back to normal completely and the nail bed has healed. I have never felt more relieved.

Basically, ACV was an active ingredient in my solution but it doesn't have to be the only thing you try. Stick with it and persist and you will find the remedy that works for your body. It doesn't have to be that painful. Be positive and adjust your lifestyle too, I really think that worked wonders for me. Good luck. (sorry for the length but I had that thing for 2 years).

A couple of years ago, I noticed a cluster of warts on the bottom of my foot.

My mother took me to the Doctor’s and the doctor said to use Compound W and that the wart would be gone in 3-4 months. My mom bought the Compound W but we never ended up using it because she looked up home remedies online and came across ACV.

She soaked a cotton ball in ACV and pressed it against my foot, keeping it on with band-aids. I put a sock on over it and went to bed like that every night for 2 weeks. In the morning we'd always file it down, and after 2 weeks of this procedure it was completely gone!!

So now, years later, I'm 14 years old and about a month ago I discovered another one on the bottom of my right foot. I ignored it, because I really didn't want to go through all that again, but eventually it became extremely painful and my mom noticed me limping.

I showed her the wart and we went out and bought the stuff for it. I applied it to the cotton ball last night and put the band-aids over it. This morning I woke up and stepped out of bed and there was worse pain than I had remember. It was severe, excruciating pain. It was very painful whether my foot came into contact with the ground or not, it didn't matter. I had warts on my arm for about 4-5 years now, and tried everything to get them removed. I used Compound W liquid remover and that didn’t work. I went to the Doctor’s, he used liquid nitrogen, the warts turned into huge blisters and were gone, but then reappeared about 5 months later and came back bigger. Then I used crushed garlic under a band-aid over night on them, This had the same result as at the Doctor’s office. They blistered, they were gone, but they came back about 4 months later, and now there were even more.

So now I looked up every home remedy possible, and now they seem to be gone. What I did was follow the ACV treatment for about two weeks, and at the end of the two weeks I was left with 3 large holes where 3 large warts used to be, (there were some smaller ones I was waiting to do after the larger ones healed) and during this whole time, I was taking 2 150mg garlic pills, 3 times a day, usually after breakfast and lunch, and right before bed.

After a couple more weeks, the big warts were still healing up (the entire time they were healing, I would cover them with Neosporin and a band-aid). Occasionally, I would put an Aspirin paste on them over night (just drop a few drops of water on an Aspirin tablet and it will melt into a paste). Because I read that this also gets rid of warts, I also started applying the Aspirin paste to the medium sized warts. I haven’t treated them with ACV yet.

The Aspirin worked. Amazing, some of the medium sized ones disappeared overnight. Some took a few more days, and after a few weeks of taking garlic pills, the smaller warts began disappearing.

My arm is almost completely healed (I stopped covering them with band-aids to let my wounds "breathe" a little and scab up) now from the ACV and the big warts look like they are gone now too.

So ACV does work. I used it along with other remedies that I also believe work, but I don’t think the Aspirin or the garlic pills alone would have gotten rid of my larger warts. But for the smaller warts, garlic pills and Aspirin did work.

It all started with a wart on the bottom of my heel in high school.

I wrestled for my high school for 2 years and my senior year I noticed an abnormality on the heel of my foot. I of course thought it was nothing and just ignored it. After about a year and a half that small abnormality had spread into a dozen or so warts on my heel as well as a nickel sized wart on the back of my archilles tendon.

I still continued to ignore the warts, then one day I realized I had the same type of wart on my left thumb and that was when I was ready to rid myself of these cursed things. I went to a dermatologist and they had me use salicylic acid and it was very painful to say the least. I treated my hand and foot for months with salicylic acid and had absolutely no results.

I gave up for about 6 months and just happened to tumble upon this site, like everyone else and decided "what the hell, why not".

I am now on day 4 of the ACV treatment and 3 of my warts have already died and are falling off. The wart on my archilles tendon is completely black now and should be falling off within the next few days and the cluster of a dozen or son on the heel of my foot are dying one wart at a time.

Update: August 15, 2012

I commented about 2 weeks ago about the progress on my warts. I had about a nickel-sized wart on the back of my heel on my right foot.

As I said in my previous testimonial, I had been treating my warts for about a week with ACV.

After 3 weeks the nickel-sized wart on my heel turn black and scabbed over. I decided to leave the scab completely alone and just soaked my foot 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes before I went to bed and wrapped my foot every night and that's it. br>
After about 5 days the black scab completely fell off on its own revealing a hole about a size a fifth the original size and all new pink skin. I am still applying ACV at night to the hole to assure that the wart will die off.

I advise to anyone, to not pick at the wart if it turns black and scabs over, just leave it be and let your body do what it does best and push the wart off your body.

It worked great for me and less pain is involved. Just be patient and you will be healed.

I have or had a plantar wart on the bottom of my big toe.

I had it frozen twice by a dermatologist and also used over the counter freezing multiple times. I had to give up jogging since I couldn't put my toe down, I walked with a limp.

It's gone now and I got my first pedicure in 8 months yesterday. It took 3 weeks of using the cotton ball soak with vinegar with a ban-daid.

On weekends I would do it during the day. It was painful at times. I also would file off the skin when it was dried out.

This is the best method and I am shocked that dermatologists don't recommend it. Oh, I guess if they did you would have no reason to see them. Shame on them. Anyway don't give up, it does work.

My daughter had several warts on her toes and nothing seemed to work. We tried Salicylic Acid, Freeze-Away kits, duct tape, etc. Finally she started using ACV and in no time they were gone.

Fast forward a year... I noticed a wart developing on the underside of my middle finger. I tried the Freeze-Away kit again and have decided that kit is useless, I don't know anyone who has had success with it. My neighbor has a wart on his ring finger and has been wearing duct tape for a few weeks now. After a few weeks and he is still wearing it I decided I didn't want to try that method.

That's when my wife reminded me about the ACV treatment that my daughter used. The smell is terrible, but I was willing to try it.

I was already experiencing slight pain simply because where it is located, it is always getting hit or hung on something, so the additional pain has not been an issue. However, after only one night I noticed it was darkening and becoming slightly tender. By the second day it was turning black and becoming hard and sensitive. I've been following the treatment for about 4-5 nights now and it looks dead and drying up.

My daughter's warts just disappeared after a week or two and never turned black so that is why I researched mine to see if this was abnormal. I am glad to hear that it is normal to turn black and that from what I have read I expect mine to be falling off soon. From experience this is the most successful treatment I have seen, just a little smelly but the end result is worth it.

My neighbor is next! He and his son have tried several things so once mine are gone I will try to get him to try this method.

I'm not even near 30, and I thought I was going to be stuck with a wart for the rest of my life! It was on my mind all the time on how ugly it looked, worried about if it was going to spread.

I was looking online for removal methods, came across apple cider vinegar. I honestly didn't want to go to a Doctor..and I didn't want to spend close to 20 dollars for the Dr. Scholls. I saw this website - so many people said it worked! Shoot, I'll give it a try.

The pain - yeah, on a scale 1-10, it was an 8.5-9 BUT IT WORKED, and its totally worth it. The wart is GONE, I honestly have never been so happy and relived in quite a long time! I used the ACV over night when I slept with a band aid.

Its harsh on your skin, as said in other posts, but I am so glad I came across this site! So glad I tried it, and so glad it worked!

I am currently on day 5 of using this treatment on a plane wart and it is working well.

One question - the middle part of the wart has now fallen out (so it is just raw skin at the moment) but I can still see some of the outer wart remaining, do I keep using ACV on this or will that part of the wart die if the core has come out?

I'm 13 and have been dealing with warts for almost 4 years. It started out as just one single wart on the back of my right hand. Then years later there were more growing.

I've been trying to hide these warts for a very long time now. And people at school pointed it out and I got really embarrassed. So I even tried the duct tape method. It didn't work! So I just felt hopeless and I gave up . But then a year later I found this! I tried it and I am on day 3.

There is no pain for me! And some started to darken! So that means they will fall off! I hope they will all go away after all these years! I’m crossing my fingers!!!!

My daughter developed a plantar wart that she did not tell me about until it was very large and painful.

We sought medical treatment, used OTC products, but nothing worked. She started to develop warts all over the bottom of her foot. After reading about the ACV method, we soaked her foot in vinegar for about 5 minutes each on two consecutive evenings...

On the 3rd day, the original plantar wart turned black and all the smaller ones turned white. The large one fell out, leaving a large hole in the bottom of the foot which healed nicely and the smaller ones simply disappeared!

I've had a plantar wart on my big toe for about four years now. I suspect I got it from my older sister using my shoes.

Anyway I just started this treatment and on another site I read the warts may get bigger before they start to die.

I’ve only done the treatment during the day and when I took off the bandage I noticed I actually have a large cluster of warts around the big one. After the swelling went down, I noticed the warts had grown and become more visible. So I decided to try the treatment at night.

Hopefully it works! My other sister used the duct tape only method and it has seemed to work for her but I didn’t have the patience to wear duct tape around my toe for weeks at a time. So even though I’m having some tingles of pain, I find this method a lot more bearable.

I have a 1/2 inch wart on the bottom of my foot on my big toe, where the joint of the toe is. Walking is the worst! I've been dealing with this throbbing, sharp pain for too long. After reading up on it I decided to try the ACV and cotton ball method and I swear to you that it really, really works!

The first night I put two cotton swab tips on the wart and sealed it with duct tape around my big toe. That was WAY WAY too painful, so I took it off after 10 minutes and tried again the next night. It was like someone was stabbing a throbbing hot knife through my foot!

The second night I used one cotton tip with three band-aids (one across the middle, one on top and one below to stabilize.) I woke up the next morning with the wart raised REALLY HIGH, stark white with lots of dead blood vessels. After taking a nail file to it, it was way smaller than it had ever been.

The third night I had to skip, which leads into today. I looked at the wart and it was already starting to turn black in a large area! Only ONE NIGHT of actually using it and the wart is already progressing fast!!

I'm gonna keep doing it and it should be gone shortly. I can't wait!

This weekend I spoke to my husband and got so emotional when I told him that this is the best results that I have ever seen and I am so positive that I will be rid of this plantar wart - for the first time in so many years I finally found hope.

I couldn't walk property, couldn't wear those nice heels to clubs and I couldn't even stand too long. This will all change now and I cannot wait.

I am even getting emotional whilst typing this. I first noticed it about 7 years ago. It was just there, this huge calloused thing that I thought would just go away with some foot things from Scholls. But alas, everything I bought turned out to be a waste of money and I gave up.

Not too long ago I just got to the point of 'enough now'! It was hurting now and again, not all the time, but it was beginning to really get me down. I heard about the duct tape so I bought some along with some wart magic remover things. I started filing the hard skin then putting some wart remover in then tape it up with duct tape. It started hurting....so I stopped the wart magic stuff. Things were not progressing as fast as I wanted it to though. So I did some more research and stumbled upon this site.

What a blessing to those in distress!! After using ACV for 2 weeks it's nearly gone! I am giving my foot a rest from the AVC though. My foot is damaged and I need it to heal then I will knock the remainder of that bugger with more AVC and duct tape! I had my wart for many years so it's grown pretty deep and is very stubborn, I never expected it to come out easily.

I do have to warn you about the pain though. I gave natural birth with no painkillers.....this was by far the worst pain I have ever ever experienced!! I was swallowing Myprodol's like Tic-Tacs and couldn't walk for about a week!!

My poor husband could only look on in horror, look at the sucker on my foot and swear at it like he wanted to fight it right here and now.

One word of advise guys - use 2 regular band-aids - cut a circle in the middle about the size of the opening where the wart is stick them in a cross + over the area, then take a small piece of duct tape, cut a hoe in that too, and stick over, then take small cotton ball, soak in AVC put it in the hole and then cover with another piece of duct tape, this way some of your healthy skin will be as protected as can be.

So, he's not gone yet, but he will be soon, so many huge chunks came off that I think it's on it's last.

I will update you very soon on the state of my friend.
